SHOP POSITIONS:

CNC Millwork Machinist

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Full time
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($28-$32/hr)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and operate CNC routers and milling machinery to execute precise cuts for custom architectural woodwork & casework
  • Interpret architectural drawings, show drawings, & technical specifications to verify project requirements
  • Load, test, & adjust CNC programs; optimize speeds & feeds for various wood species, veneers, & composite materials
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to ensure exact adherence to shop drawings & quality standards
  • Perform routine daily maintenance on equipment & safety manage tooling & bit changes

ABOUT YOU:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machinery within a commercial millwork, casework, or custom woodworking environment
  • Strong capability in reading complex architectural blueprints & applying shop math
  • Solid understanding of how different lumber cuts, wood grains, & composite panels react during machining
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds & stand or move around the shop for extended periods
  • Edgebanding & beam saw experience a plus
  • Good work ethic, self-motivated & good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Custom Woodworker

Seeking an experienced fabricator with minimum of 5 years in solid hardwood woodworking, milling, joining, planing, & sanding, capable of constructing die-walls, reception desks and other custom pieces. Will be working independently, and on a team, fabricating live edge plank and slab table tops, solid lumber furniture, and a variety of custom solid wood pieces. Must have knowledge of lumber cuts and species, and the ability to read & understand blueprints. Experience with solid surface, acrylic, glass, metal & forklift experience helpful. This position does not require finishing experience, but knowledge of finishing is a plus. Lifting up to 100 lbs. is required for this position.
